Honeymoon in Greece is an acrylic 48 x 48 which sold faster than I could finish it. It is the 3rd in the romantic series of Walking in the Rain in the season of summer. The original of Walking in the Rain takes place in the Fall and meant to draw you in.
Everyone imagines themselves there and wondering what they are talking about under that Red Umbrella, which is in every painting of this series. Is this their first date? How long have they been together? What plans are they making? Or, it could be them!
Second, we see them in the Spring, Strolling Under Cherry Blossoms, under the Red Umbrella again and in the spring showers. You are drawn in once again, thinking it's you and your spouse, fiance' or friend. You're wondering what they are talking about this time? What kind of plans are they making? Now it's Summer and we found out what they had been planning all along, it was their Honeymoon in Greece!
Honeymoon in Greece has textured walls, sand and rawhide tied around the obelisks for texture. Then there are all the details such as the gate, which is the color of the flag in Greece. The gate has several details, look at the top of the gate, it's old and warped a bit, the wood slats, the latch, oh my goodness, the latch! Down below on the gate are bolts on the left and right side. Footprints! They were obviously running into the water with the seafoam at the forefront and then the waves. The couple are kissing under her wide brim hat and he has his arms around her, they are in love, how romantic. There are also 5 seagulls above on the right. And once again, there is the Red Umbrella. Notice the shadowing at the bottom of the left pillar, and behind the gate, below the obelisks and behind the umbrella stand.
At the bottom of the Red Umbrella you'll find my signature, signed vertically up the wooden stand.
